This session will focus on one-day ideas for high school students to step away from their long-term projects and push them to explore and experiment with new media and techniques as well as quick one-day ideas to revise previous artworks. The purpose is to give teachers ideas on how to activate their classroom and get students to take risks and think creatively, but without investing long amounts of time. Limit 40
Explosion books are a fun way to work with folding paper, color, pattern, unity, and even some writing! A great project for all grade levels. After we decorate our pages and do some writing, we'll fold, glue, and create our books! Instructor will provide some material but if possible- bring coloring media, glue sticks, scraps of painted/collaged papers, and scissors. Limit 30

In this workshop, participants will experience chair yoga and mindful drawing or mark-making mindful breathing that we experience in creative flow and the natural meditative practice we experience when we are creating. Opening up a more intentional practice and focusing on deeper listening to our inner creative voice.
